WILLIAM WOOD III - JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. - William "Woody" Wood III, of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., passed away peacefully on Aug. 14, 2013, after a long fight with COPD. He was born Jan. 3, 1943, in Fall River, Mass., to Eileen and William Wood Jr., and raised in Essex Junction, Vt. He retired from USN after 20 years, and Mike Shad Ford after 31 years. He leaves behind his loving bride of over 50 years, Sharon Marie Jimmo; three beautiful daughters, Kellie (Paul) Tyler, Shawn (Brian) James, and Brandie (Doug) Jacobson; six adoring grandchildren; and siblings, Barbara Forsyth, Cheryl (Don) Carpenter, and Donald (Sheila) Wood, of Vermont.
