SCHUERMANN, William WILLIAM CLARK SCHUERMANN Bill Sherman, aka William Clark Schuermann age 69, passed away from natural causes Sunday March 24, 2013 at his beloved beach home on Jacksonville Beach in Florida. Born in Elmhurst, Illinois, Bill spent his early youth in St. Louis, Mo. He attended Ferguson High School in North St. Louis, and then enrolled at the University of Missouri in Columbia. Later, Bill attended Elmhurst College after his family moved to Chicago. Famous for his positive energy and upbeat personality, Bill became an advance tour coordinator and worked in concert and music promotion as a publicity man for such major music stars of the day as Buddy Miles, Chicago, Rod Stewart, Diana Ross, Seals And Crofts, Yes, Alice Cooper, Jethro Tull, The Rippertons, The Jackson Five, Ricky Nelson, Michael Jackson, and many more national music tours of the 70's and 80's Bill was a well known nightclub, sports bar and restaurant manager in both Chicago and Atlanta, GA where he moved in 1970. Among Bill's nightspots was legendary Beavers in Chicago, and in Atlanta: Sargent Pepper's, Animal Crackers, Charlie Magruder's, Gentry's and Chicago Pizza and Sports Bars in locations in Atlanta and Jacksonville Beach. A warm and loyal friend, gregarious in nature and generous to a fault, Bill will be remembered for his genuine kindness, his personal and touching annual Christmas Cards and of course as the Chicago Cubs number one fan. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy and father William and is survived by his Aunt Gloria Clark in Illinois and Aunt Margie Houch of Wisconsin, and many cousins and of course his legion of friends from around the country. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 14th from 2 pm to 6 pm at Moderna Restaurant at 8540 Roswell Rd., Sandy Springs, GA 30350.
