William Coleman, otherwise known as Bill to his family and friends, died on April 26, 2020. William was a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL since 2005. He was born on December 9, 1935, in Scranton, PA before his family moved to Brooklyn, NY. William served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War Veteran. On discharge from the Army, he received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton and later received a Masters in Business from NYU. William designed computer systems in the scientific, drug, chemical and electronic fields. Bill spent 35 years as a volunteer fireman and 7 years as a seeing eye dog walker in Morris Township, NJ. After relocating to Florida, Bill was a volunteer with the Guana Reserve Turtle Patrol.
Bill was a devoted husband, uncle and friend. He was an avid bird watcher, a fan of the Opera and an amateur naturalist by supporting various charities.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Coleman and his wife, Faith Weber in 1986. He is survived by his nephews, Michael and Christopher Bukosky; his niece, Jacquelynne Wilhelm; and sister-in-law, Hope Weber.
The family plans to hold a Memorial Service at a future date.
