Wilfred A. Macauley

Wilfred Augustus Macauley, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2025. Wilfred was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone to Wilfred and Betsy Abioseh Macauley on August 7, 1952. He attended Tabernacle Primary school and Bishop Johnson Secondary school in Freetown. In 1975, he left Sierra Leone to attend college at Florida Memorial University where he obtained in degree in Business Administration and Management. He also obtained an MBA at Nova Southeastern University.

Wilfred was the founder and President of Wilmac Inc., a diversified company with a primary focus on foodservice distribution and facility management in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to establishing his own company Wilfred worked at PYA/Monarch LLC (formally Sara Lee Corp) and Royal Foods Service Inc. as Vice President of Operations.

Wilfred is survived by his wife: Isabella Macauley, Children; Cheryl Macauley-James and Nipsey Macauley, Grandchildren; Christian Macauley and Jahmai James, Daughter-in-law; Maria Macauley, Son-in-law; Jonathan Jeffery James, Sisters; Hannah Caulker, Rachel Kpaka, Milicent Kassim and Betsy Hamilton, Brother-in-law; Bobby Hamilton, Nephews; Samuel Sankoh, Prince Caulker, Lloyd Caulker, Dalton John, John Hamilton, and Bobby Hamilton, Jr., Nieces; Mina Boston and Juliana Taylor.

Several other relatives and close friends including the Smythe Family, Gibril Family, Martyn Family, Olu-Taylor Family, Gladys Pyne Caulker Family, Claude Lee, Comfort Khadra and numerous other family and friends at home and abroad.

Wilfred was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His legacy will live on forever. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Visitation will be at Quinn Shalz Funeral Home Friday, April 11, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. His Funeral Service will be Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Quinn Shalz with burial to follow at Ponte Vedra Valley Cemetery,
