Wayne Kilburn

January 6, 2017 — December 29, 2016

Wayne Allen Kilburn of St. Augustine, Florida passed away at his home on December 29th, 2016 surrounded by his family and friends after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Georgianne V. Kilburn “Gigi”; daughter, Constance Celia Kilburn; future son-in-law Chase Franklin McDougald; brother, Vernal Julius Kilburn, Jr and his wife Tangie; brother, Gerald Peter Kilburn and his wife Elaine; sister, Nancy and her husband Jerre Grant; sister Donna and her husband Mike Vosburg; and sister, Kathe Vaughn and her husband Ray Vaughn; mother-in-law Sherrill Lewis; sisters-in-law, Katherine Mulcahy and Maria Lewis; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, who were all beloved to him. He was born in Ballston Spa, New York on July 20, 1956. He worked at PacOrd for many years, Atlantic Marine for almost 13 years, and was currently employed at Ring Power Corporation for 12 ½ years.

Wayne was an avid outdoorsman. He loved shooting guns of all types, hunting turkeys and deer and spent many a day in his childhood in the woods procuring rabbits and squirrels. His favorite pastimes were fishing and boating, puttering in his shed with all of his various tools and gadgets. He loved the triumph of being able to fix things of all sorts when no one else would take on the challenge.

He knew no strangers: people flocked to him for positive words, advice and wisdom. He was highly intelligent and resourceful, but he was also compassionate and loving through and through. He had a very wry sense of humor and was very sarcastic which made him frustrating yet endearing to all.

He was the most wonderful husband a woman could have the privilege of sharing her life with. He was a wonderful lover, friend, confidante, soulmate and an absolute fantastic father to his only child Constance Celia Kilburn. He was one of the most hard working and loyal men that ever lived. He is going to be missed by all that knew him and loved him, and he will be in our hearts and souls forever until we meet again.

A man that will never be duplicated or replaced…a man that shall always be an example to us all of what a real human being should be and do. God bless his soul forever…
