Wanda Elaine Kyser, 96, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed from this earth on April 18, 2024. Wanda was born December 30, 1927, in Akron, Ohio, to Jacob and Evelyn Himelright. Wanda was the eldest of three sisters and was raised in the "Mill House" in Bath, Ohio. After graduating from Bath School, she worked in banking for several years before marrying Gerald R. Kyser after the end of World War II and moving to Akron, Ohio. They were blessed with a daughter, Karen.
Wanda was a gifted seamstress and operated a custom drapery business for more than 30 years, in the course of which the family moved to Uniontown, Ohio. After her daughter married and moved to the south, Wanda and Gerald eventually moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, where their daughter and her family lived. After Gerald's death, Wanda moved to Vicar's Landing in Ponte Vedra Beach.
Wanda was preceded in death by Gerald in 2013, her sisters, LaVonne Foote in 2003 and Bonnie Weber in 2024. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and is survived by her daughter Karen Frantz (Skip), grandson Kurt Frantz, granddaughter Elizabeth Frantz Yandle (Cary) and great grandson Carl Yandle who will miss her greatly.
Wanda was deeply grateful for her life at Vicar's Landing and for her many friends there and the competent and compassionate personnel who cared for her.
