Virginia Theresa Lamb passed away on June 15th, 2022. She was born in the Washington Heights section of New York City, to Ellen and Francis Kiernan. She attended grade school and high school in New York City and also attended Rockland Community College and the University of North Florida. Theresa was a lifelong devout Catholic and proud of her Irish heritage. She loved line dancing and playing bridge. She also followed the financial and political scenes very closely.
Theresa was pre-deceased by her parents and five siblings. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Peter Lamb, Captain, NYPD, retired; three sons, Peter III, James and John; and also, by her daughter Virginia Lamb Wingate, CDR, U.S. Navy, retired (Patrick). She is also survived by four grandsons and two great grandchildren, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 9th at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Avenue, Jacksonville Beach with Father William Kelly as Celebrant. Internment in Jacksonville National Cemetery will take place on July 11th. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to Community Hospice of Florida.
