Valentina Lucianne Bhurwal

Valentina Lucianne Grabulis Bhurwal passed away on October 4, 2024, with family by her side. Valentina was born on October 13, 1989, in Ostashkov, Russia. In June 1994, when Valentina was almost 5 years of age, she was adopted from the orphanage in Ostashkov, Russia, by her adoptive parents, Jim and Micheline Grabulis. Ostashkov is located on the southern shore of Lake Seliger, 125 miles West of Tver, Russia. Valentina grew up in Great Falls, Virginia; Morgantown, West Virginia; and Jacksonville, Florida. Valentina is a 2008 graduate of Nease High School and a 2013 graduate of Florida State College of Jacksonville. 

Valentina was a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA), working at Vicker’s Landing, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, as well as resident homes in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She moved to South Georgia in 2020, where she worked as a pharmacy technical compounder for CVS Pharmacy. Her passion was helping others and spending time with her two cats Una and (Goofy) Uffie.

Valentina is survived by her husband Abhishek Bhurwal of 9.5 months; her infant son, Arjun, born on September 25, 2024; her parents, James and Micheline Grabulis; her sister, Florica Swenson married to husband, Brian; nieces, Mary Grace, Anna Claire of South Carolina; and, brother, Jason Grabulis, married to wife, Holly; and niece, Heidy. 

Due to the imminence of Hurricane Milton, Valentina's Funeral is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9th at 10:30 a.m. at Quinn Shalz Funeral Home on 3600 Third Street South Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. In lieu of flowers please donate to the following charity to honor Valentina, as Valentina loved to travel and had a heart to take care of cats.
