Trisa Fontaine Saalfield

Trisa Brown Saalfield, 55, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on July 18, 2024. She was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and adored friend. She leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love, acceptance, kindness, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. 

Trisa was born on February 27, 1969, in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended Buchholz High School and received her cosmetology degree from Santa Fe College. Trisa built her life and career in Jacksonville Beach. She was an incredibly talented and beloved hair stylist and salon owner. Trisa had many happy and loyal clients across northeast Florida. Her cosmetology skills, along with her warm smile and outgoing personality, kept her schedule full of doing what she enjoyed most—helping people look good and feel loved.

Trisa was always stylish, radiating an all-encompassing spirit of fun. She had the gift of making everyone feel included, regardless of how long she’d known you. Bringing together her family and friends (“T-Time,” as she called it) for holidays or a quick chat will live in our hearts as a testament to her loving spirit.

Trisa was the daughter of the late Kenneth Patrick Brown Jr. and daughter-in-law of the late Ann Saalfield. Trisa is survived by her loving husband, James (“Jamie”) Saalfield and their children, Valen and Vale; father-in-law, Jack Saalfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Saalfield Wansor; brother-in-law, Royce Saalfield; mother, Judith Anne MacDonald; stepfather, Randy Scott; brother, Daniel Boyd Brown; nephews, Dylan Brown and Jordan Brown; aunt and uncle, George and Judy Bennett; cousins, Dana Rudlaff, Richard Beckmann and Michael Beckmann; step-sisters, Lorese LaMee Peterson and Richelle LaMee Owens; a loving extended family, and many lifelong cherished friends too numerous to name but they know who they are.

In Celebration of Trisa’s Life, she requested that everyone dress casually and wear white. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at The Yards in Sawgrass, 254 Alta Mar Dr., Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082.
