Thomas Seavey

Thomas “Wesley” Seavey, 79, of Atlantic Beach, Florida went to be with the Lord on November 4, 2021. Wesley was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Isaac and Grace Jordan Seavey on October 24, 1942. He celebrated life to the fullest, remaining in the Jacksonville Beaches area for the majority of his life after High School at Duncan U Fletcher. He later graduated from William Carey College with a focus on Elementary Education and Music Theory. Wesley faithfully served the Lord and dedicated his life to his church homes in the area: One Church Jacksonville Beach, Oak Harbor Baptist Church, and Neptune Baptist Church, where he married his true love and high school sweetheart Cynthia Rebecca Pipkin.

He not only dedicated his life to Christian service as Deacon, but he also was a proud member of our United States National Guard, with more than 20 years of service. Wesley worked proudly for local retailer, Pic ‘N’ Save, and as a substitute teacher.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Cynthia “Cindy” Seavey of 50 years;  brother, Jerome “Jerry” Seavey; and sister Amelia. He is survived by his 3 children David Wesley Seavey (Katie), Adrienne Michelle Seavey-Glanz (Jonathan), and Kenneth Todd Seavey (Lindsey); as well as his sister-in-law, SuZanne Seavey.

Wesley will be remembered as a devout Christian, beloved family man, avid Jacksonville Jaguar Fan, and his love for his little buddy, “Ranger” (his dog).

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd St.  S., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 20th in One Church Jacksonville Beach, 324 North 5th St., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
