Theresa Farnell, 88, passed away on March 25, 2016. She was born on March 3, 1928 in Tampa, Florida to Philip and Rose Frisco. She had lived in Jacksonville Beach since 1960.
Theresa was a restaurateur owning several successful restaurants including The Dolphin Bar and Restaurant in Mayport, Theresa's Sandwich Shop, and The Glass Bar (now known as Gingers). Most recently T's time Out Sports Bar and Grille. The latter half of her life was spent performing many happy marriages as a Notary Public. She was a member of the Beaches Lions Club for many years. She enjoyed being a member of The Ladies Red Hat Society, and an avid bowler at The Beach Bowl.
Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, John Farnell Jr.; sister, Patty Alexander (Jerry); sons, Frank Canto (Linda), Philip Canto (Julie), Christopher Farnell (Angie); daughter, Terry Canto Fields (Gary); five grandchildren, John, Natalie, Philip, Laura and Jason; 10 great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Rose Frisco; and sister, Mary Alfieri.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home at 3600 S. Third Street, Jacksonville Beach on Thursday March 31, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Jacksonville National Cemetery.
