Theodore Robert Seman

Theodore “Ted” R. Seman passed away on October 26, 2022, of natural causes at home in Neptune Beach, Florida. Ted was born in 1934 in Hiller, Pennsylvania, attended local schools and graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1957. While attending Penn State he was enrolled in the Air Force Reserve Officer Training [AFROTC] program & was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forestry. Upon graduation Ted was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and prior to entering active duty he was employed as a Forester with the U. S. Forest Service, Nezperce National Forest, Grangeville, Idaho. Lt. Seman served for 3 years, honorably discharged and was subsequently employed as a Forester, Union Camp Corp., Savannah, Georgia. He volunteered to serve with the Georgia Air National Guard [GANG] Travis Field, Savannah, served 4 years, obtained the rank of Captain and air navigated the World.

In January 1965 Ted entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation [FBI] served for 24 years as Special Agent in the San Antonio, Texas and Tampa, Florida Divisions. After retiring from the FBI, he established SECONCO Financial Investigations/Security Consultancy providing services to various Tampa law firms. From 1993 - 2003 Mr. Seman was employed as Division Security Manager with Coca Cola Enterprises doing business as Florida Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was the first security manager employed by CCE which was last known to employ 30 security managers.

Ted & Wife Judith totally retired from their respective professions in July 2003. They traveled internationally & to every state in the United States enjoying golf, tent camping, boating, fishing, hiking and touring the wilderness areas of the U. S, Northwest.

Ted is survived by wife Judy, brother Ed his wife Bev, along with various children, stepchildren, their spouses, and grandchildren: Lisa, Cynthia, Theodore, David, Rachel, Morgan, Pamela, James, Donald, Heather, Cindy, Matt, Zoe, Cassidy, Maya, Clara, Josh, Savannah, John, Clay, Wyatt, Nathan, Layney and is preceded by John, Andy, Kylie, Chris and Ron.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30AM on November, 9, 2023, at Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 Third Street South, Jacksonville Beach, Florida and Inurnment, with military honors, at the National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida, immediately following the Memorial.
