Suzanne Vogel McRee

Suzanne Vogel McRee, 83, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born July 11, 1941, to Glennwood and Mary Elizabeth Cree in Newark, Ohio. She graduated from Newark High School in 1959 and later that year she married James L. McRee.

Suzanne was a member of Eastern Star for many years. She excelled at golf. Suzanne was the Women’s Division Club Champion for two years at the Forest Hills Golf Club (Heath, Ohio). After relocating to Jacksonville Beach, Florida in 1979 with her family, she enjoyed walking and riding her bike at the beach, gardening and arts and crafts. She proudly worked for the City of Jacksonville Beach for ten years. Above all, she loved spending time with her four grandchildren and two great-grand children.

Suzanne is survived by her three children, Kelle McMillan, James T. G. McRee (Amy), and Chad McRee; grandchildren, John McMillan, Colton McRee, Jayme McRee, and Emilee McRee;  great grandchildren, Nicky Cooey and Justin McMillan.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 14, 2025, at 11:00 am in Quinn Shalz Funeral Home in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.
