Sue S. Jarecki

Sue S. Jarecki, 78, passed away peacefully at Fleet Landing September 4, 2022. She was born October 24, 1943 in West Virginia, the daughter of Charles B. and Madgelene (Farmer) Sims.

Sue acquired her Master's in education and worked as an elementary school teacher in Virginia where she met the man whom she would spend the rest of her life with, Stephen A. Jarecki. Sue was a veracious reader and avid player of Mahjong and Canasta. When she wasn't reading she could be found antiquing or volunteering her time and talents at the local soup kitchens. Sue was a member of the Ribault Garden Club and a Beaches Newcomer Alumnae.

In addition to her parents, Sue is predeceased by her beloved son, Stephen Sims Jarecki. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Stephen A. Jarecki; Daughter, Suzanne Shelton (Marshall); and granddaughter, Lily.

A gathering of family friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday, September 9th in Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home located at 3600 Third street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. In lieu of flowers and for those who wish to remember Sue in a special way may make gifts in her memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 224 N. 5th St. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
