Brook Chase (57) passed away November 7, 2023, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. His proudest achievement in life was his four children. Born in Fayetteville, New York to Steve and Ann Chase, Brook was a star lacrosse player from a young age. His athletic career took him to Syracuse University where he was part of the 1988-1990 National Championship teams. Brook’s dedication to the sport did not end there - he was a pioneer in establishing the lacrosse community throughout the state of Florida. Brook was incredibly passionate about helping young players chase their dreams of playing collegiate lacrosse. It brought him great joy to watch his two sons play at the collegiate level. Equally, it gave him great joy to watch his daughters mature into exceptional young ladies. Brook’s professional career was centered around assisting injured claimants and their families; he helped many people all over the country achieve normalcy following catastrophic accidents.
Brook never met a stranger and made everyone around him feel like family. A friend to all, he lit up every room he entered. Brook was taken from us far too soon, but he leaves an everlasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Brook is survived by his four children, Emily Chase Beattie (Brian), Stephen (Kate), Maggie, and Sam Chase. His father Steve Chase; sister’s, Molly Loh (Greg, Annie, Susan, and Nancy) and Jane Chase (Joel). Brook was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Chase. He will be missed enormously by his family and friends.
Brook was always going out of his way to help others. In lieu of flowers, his family asks everyone to remember his caring soul by completing an act of random kindness in his honor.
Services will be held at a later date.
