Sidney Wayne Seals

Sidney Wayne Seals, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 21, 2024, in Jacksonville, Florida.

Wayne was born on July 27, 1962, to Sidney and Rose Seals in Evansville, Indiana, the oldest of 7 children.

Wayne was a kindhearted and loving family man who dedicated himself to his loved ones. For 30 years, he worked diligently in maintenance, not only providing for his family but instilling in them the values of hard work, perseverance, and dedication.

Outside of work, Wayne had a passion for music, particularly playing lead guitar for the True Country band. He found solace and happiness in strumming his guitar.

In his free time, he enjoyed the great outdoors. He found peace in the quiet serenity of nature while fishing and hunting. He also had a knack for working on cars, spending countless hours tinkering and fixing, eventually passing the trait onto his boys.

Wayne will be remembered for his gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love for his family. He was a devoted husband, a nurturing father, a doting poppa, and a cherished friend. A true family man in every sense of the word. He devoted himself wholeheartedly to his loved ones, always putting their needs above his own. His love knew no bounds, and his presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him.

Though Wayne may no longer be with us in body, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who he touched. His legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to inspire and guide those for years to come.

Wayne is remembered by his father, Sidney Seals; his loving wife, Paulette of 43 years; his sons, Jason, Randy, and Chance; his siblings, Theresa (NC), Donald (TX), Sherry (TX), Dale (ID), and Beth (NC); seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by Rose Killion (mother), Kandi Hawkins (sister), and one grandchild.

Pop, you will be dearly missed and forever remembered.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service starting at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of  Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home.
