Shirley Ann Kingman, a 80 year resident of Jacksonville, passed peacefully on Friday, June 17, 2016. Shirley was born on December 28, 1935 in Jacksonville, FL to the late William Edward Barber and Flossie Bell Jordan. She retired from the City of Jacksonville, Buckman Sewage Treatment Plant, JEA.
Preceded in death by her husband Jack Kingman and beloved daughter Sheryl Thies. Survivors include her beloved daughter Deborah “Sofia” Niles, son-in-law Peter Niles and son-in-law David Thies, beloved grandchildren, Benjamin Elam (Carrie), Lorin Thies and Shellie Thies. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Patricia Jordan Crews (Bobby), Juanita Clark Lodge, Herbert Jordan and Robert Jordon, and a large extended “family” of relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank her loving caregivers at the Terrace of Jacksonville Nursing Facility.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service on Saturday July 9th at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home of Jacksonville Beach.
