Sharmishtha B. Patel

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sharmishtha Bharat Shivabhai Patel on March 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Sharmishtha was the beloved wife of Bharat for 60 wonderful years, a loving mother to Nirav (and his wife Nijal) and Sonal, and a doting grandmother to Rakhil, Rajeev, and Ravi. She was also a cherished daughter, sister, and aunt. Her greatest joy came from her three grandsons; their presence would fill her with an unmistakable radiance and pride.

Surrounded by her family, Sharmishtha passed away peacefully. Her loving spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by her family and her many dear friends. In keeping with her wishes, we will be holding a private family gathering to celebrate her life.

Sharmishtha wanted her passing to be remembered as a celebration of life. Knowing everyone leads busy lives, she would be deeply touched if family and friends could take a moment to visit their local temple and pray for her soul. In the days and weeks ahead, we hope you will join us in reflecting on the joyful memories and happy times we were fortunate enough to share with her.
