This is the story of Shane Thomas Kemp. Shane was an extraordinarily wonderful man who is loved, is missed, and will always be cherished. Honey as he was lovingly called by his wife and many others was 42 years old. He fought a good and brave fight with brain cancer and entered the heavenly realm on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at home in Nocatee with his wife, brother, and sister in love by his side. Quinn Shalz family funeral home lovingly embraced Shane into their care. He will receive friends and family at Celebration Church on Sunday Feb 4, 2024, starting at 4:00pm.
He was born on February 4th in Dunedin, Florida to Laura and Larry Kemp. He was an inspiration to everyone he met. His many interests included golf, scuba diving (all water activities) college football, Legos, games, music (especially praise and worship) traveling and making memories with family and friends.
He was also passionate and took pride in his job as a superintendent at Auld & White Constructors. He was a man of faith and a proud member of Celebration Church. He loved God and remained a faithful servant of our Lord never wavering even during difficult times.
He was well known for his cooking skills; he made the best nachos, waffles, and scallops. He was also an amazing decorator, he brought all his wife’s visions to life including decorating their numerous Christmas trees every year. Most of all he was known for his kindness, generosity, laughter, dance moves, and his ability to leave a memorable impact on everyone’s heart.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Shane include his father, Larry Kemp; father in love, Mayher Singh, and brother in love, Mayher Singh Jr. Loved ones that will miss Honey until they meet again include his loving wife of almost 14 years, Salimah Kemp; mother, Laura Kemp; brother, Brandon Kemp; sister in love, Stacy Kemp; sister, Heather Sansone (Rik Sansone); Mother in love, Regina Singh; brothers in love, Rajiv Singh, Ommali Singh (Sherri Singh), Malik Singh (Leonette Singh), Kevin Singh; Sisters in love, Rashur Singh, Sharmilah Oliver (Ian Oliver), Yolanda Reid (Bobby Findlay); lots of nieces, nephews, other family members & friends.
And so the story goes on until we see our Shane again. We love you and miss you, Honey.
