Scott Toms Morgan, 64, passed away December 9, 2017 after a brief yet courageous battle with cancer. He lived life large and was never in a hurry. The past six years Scott has enjoyed his retirement, beaches, palm trees and golf in both Ponte Vedra Beach and Jacksonville, Florida.

He was born in Oak Park, Illinois, but grew up in Old Greenwich/Riverside, Connecticut, where he was an avid tennis player, football player, a state champion wrestler, and one of three Eagle Scouts in his family. He briefly attended the University of Texas in Austin but was a lifetime Longhorn and graduated with a business degree from Wheeling Jesuit University in Wheeling, West Virginia.

During his professional career Scott worked for McKesson Chemical, Scott Paper, ICI Americas and GMAC before becoming President and owner of Morgan Toms Mortgage Consultants, Inc. in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Scott is survived by his other half and best friend Marie Moore, son Eric Morgan (Amanda), daughters Amanda Worthan (William), Natalie Morgan, Marie’s daughters Lauren Smith and Jessica Cogo (Victor), brothers William R. Morgan, Jr. (Charlene) and Gregory T. Morgan (Karen), five grandchildren, nine nieces and nephews and his four-legged companion Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents William R. Morgan and Alice Morgan Vyverberg.

A celebration of his life will be held after the holidays at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.
