Sandra M Willis

Sandra Marie Willis (79) of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday November 6, 2022.  Sandy was born on January 17, 1943 and was raised in Media, PA.  She was married to Gerald Willis (2013) and began their journey through life together on August 11, 1962.  Sandy was a devoted wife for over 50 years and loving mother of four: Sandy Calvin (John), Gerald Willis Jr. (Megan), Sean Willis (1973), and Mark Willis (Shannon). 

Sandy was up for any adventure, from riding horses through Linvilla Orchards as a child, snow skiing in Canada, parasailing in Hawaii, or hopping on the back of a motorcycle with a friend in her late 60’s.  She loved volunteering at Riddle Memorial Hospital in Media, PA, making crafts for donation or for fun, and painting beautiful water colors.

However, her primary passion was her family and doting over her eight grandchildren: Sean Willis (27), Emily Calvin (25), John Calvin III (25), Kaitlyn Calvin (23), Kevin Willis (23), Grace Willis (13), Lea Willis (11) and Molly Willis (10).  She lit up anytime her children or grandchildren were near.  She was the heartbeat of the family, with the ability to find the positive in any situation, provide sound guidance, and a shoulder when needed.  Her infectious laugh and smile will be remembered through our stories, memories, and how she showed us how to love.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
