Samuel John Atter

Sam Atter, 63, passed away August 6, 2022. He was born and lived in Jacksonville, Florida his entire life. He graduated from Wolfson High School in 1977 and was a kicker for their Varsity football team.

Sam loved many sports, especially football and golf. He was an avid Gator fan. He also loved cruising with his wife Margaret and friends.

Sam is preceded in death by his parents, George and Rose Atter and his brother, Donald.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Margaret; Sister, Mary Jo Thompson; nephews, Steven and Scott Johnson and several cousins.

His Memorial Mass and Reception will be held on Thursday August 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church, 2403 Atlantic Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32207.
