Russell Lee Thrift of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his furry friends the afternoon of January 9th, 2021, at the young age of 26.
Russell was born January 17th, 1994, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. He was a sweet and loving young man who had a passion for singing and had the most beautiful voice. As a child Russell sang in the church choir at Sacred Heart and Christ the King Catholic Churches. He was also a part of the Jacksonville Children’s Chorus. He attended LaVilla School of the Arts for middle school and moved onto Douglas Anderson School of the Arts for High School where he graduated in June 2012. During his high school years he was actively involved in community theater productions throughout Jacksonville. Russell was also into gardening and loved animals, including his puppies Elizabeth, Eva, Rolo, and Lolly.
Russell is survived by his mother, Mary Lynn Rall, his loving partner James Fernandez, his siblings; Christopher (Sanja) Feltner, Timothy Feltner, Leslie Feltner (Scott), and Kathleen (Stephen) Pember; his nephews and niece Ervin, Edvin, Edmund, Paige, Alex, James, Cameron and Anthony, as well as his aunts, uncles and many cousins. He will also be missed dearly by Daniel (Sharon) Casperson, who was a big influence in Russell’s young life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
