Juneil Burney

Ruby “Juneil” Coleman Burney, 82, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023, in Jacksonville, Florida following a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born on November 18, 1940, in Palatka, FL and had resided in Jacksonville since early childhood. Juneil graduated in 1958 from Landon High School.

Juneil enjoyed painting, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her family.

She was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church (Aspire Church) where she served faithfully for many years in the Quilting Group.

Juneil is survived by her daughters:  Gina Duffy, Jacksonville, and Julie Leverock (Robert), Ponte Vedra Beach.  Grandchildren:  Matthew Duffy, Ryan Duffy, Patrick Duffy, Mike Duffy, Jacob Leverock and Mackenzie Leverock and her faithful dog, Rosie.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Beach Church, 325 7^th Avenue North, Jacksonville Beach, FL. The family would like to thank our special Hospice Team for their loving support and care over the past six months.
