Ronald Phillips

Ronald C. Phillips,73, passed away February 11th, 2018 after a brief illness. He was born May 10th, 1944 in Yakima, WA.  He grew up in Merced, CA and moved to the beaches area in 1998.
Ron proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt CVA 42. After his naval career, Ron retired from the US postal service. Ron was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his family. He also was a faithful member of Oak Harbor Baptist Church.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Paula; daughters, Jean and Mary (Al); son, Paul; grandchildren, Candace, Wyatt, Cameron, Dylan, Zane, Marisa, David, Adalinn, and Allison; and sisters, Judy and Trudy. Ron is predeceased by his sisters, Cherie and Golda.
There will be a viewing held from 12:00pm to 1:00pm on Saturday, February 17th with the funeral service to follow in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd Street South Jacksonville, Fl. 32250. Interment will be held in Beaches Memorial Park of Atlantic Beach.
