Ronald C. Jones

Ronald C. Jones, 90, passed away March 15, 2025. Ron was born October 2, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

He was an only child to wonderful parents, Charles and Celeste Jones. He grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Wauwatosa High School, where he went on to attend Wentworth Military Academy for two years. Ron then transferred to Carroll College, now Carroll University, to get his B.S. in Business and a minor in Biology.

After college, Ron joined the Air Force and was a part of the Air Guard for 10 years. Ron then joined Delta Airlines as a pilot and was based in Chicago, Illinois and then transferred to the Atlanta, Georgia hub. After 31.5 years flying for Delta, Ron and his wife, Barbara, retired to Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.

Ron is survived by his son, Scott (Lynn); daughter, Lynn; grandchildren, Colleen, Nicci, Darby, Kelsey and Charlie; great grandchildren, Tripp, Scottie, Cami, Callahan and Charlotte. He was predeceased by his wife (Barbara).

In between flying, Ron would spend his days with his family and friends. His favorite pastimes were boating and swimming at Lake Oconee.
