Rodney E. Brown

Rodney Edwin Brown, aged 54, passed away on April 21, 2024. Born on November 18, 1969, in Newark, New Jersey, where he spent his formative years before relocating to Albany, New York and starting his family. It is there that he began his Commercial vehicle driving career which continued with his move to Jacksonville, FL in 2017.

Rodney's journey of service began with a brief but proud tenure in the U.S Navy before transitioning to his passion for driving. He was not only dedicated to his profession but also to his community, actively volunteering at his local church and contributing to its growth. Rodney always enjoyed extending a helping hand to those in need. He loved listening to music and cherishing moments spent with loved ones.

Rodney is survived by his son, Rodney Edwin Brown, Jr.; daughters, Nicole Ruiz and Kamillah Fordham; his loving mother, Lula Brown; and sisters Rhonda Brown and Rosaline Brown.

A Memorial Service honoring Rodney's life will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Funeral Home, with Nicole Ruiz as Celebrant. Immediately following the service, inurnment will take place in Lee Kirkland Cemetery.
