Robert Pepper

PEPPER Robert J. Pepper passed to his heavenly home on December 16, 2015. He was born in 1931 in Watertown, NY. After graduating from St. Lawrence University in 1953 with a degree in Physics, Bob proudly served in the United States Army for 3 years. He then joined General Electric as an engineer working on the Apollo Space Program where he met his wife , Mary Ellen. The space program moved them from upstate New York to Ormond Beach, Fl. Bob loved the beach and after 30 years of employment with Bell South in Miami, retired to Ormond Beach. After the birth of their grandchild, the couple moved to Jacksonville, FL to be closer to family. Bob enjoyed boating on the St. Lawrence River, vintage war planes, football, dogs and had a love for sports cars. Bob was a very humble, gracious man and always a gentleman. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Ellen; daughters Karen (Brett) Bosworth, Ellen Pepper; grandchild Matthew Bosworth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church with Monsignor Mort Danaher as celebrant. A private graveside service will follow.
