Robert "Bob" J. Castranova, 77, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024, with Jackie and Michael by his side. Born on December 19, 1947, in Staten Island, NY, Bob spent his early years in New York and St. Louis. He also moved extensively for his career before making his home in the Atlantic Beach area in 1988.

A proud veteran, Bob served honorably in the United States Marine Corps, exemplifying courage and dedication to his country. After his military service, Bob transitioned to a successful career in insurance, where he retired after many years of commitment and excellence.

Bob’s greatest joy in life was his family. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and warmth. He loved to travel extensively especially cruising. 

 He had a passion for golf and found peace and joy on the greens, whether playing with his friends in the Men's golf group for which he was the commissioner or fulfilling his role as the President of the Men's Golf Association at Marsh Landing Country Club.

 Bob leaves behind his devoted wife of 36 years, Jackie; beloved son, Michael (Brittan); daughter, Taylor; adored grandchildren; Morgan and Cooper;  loving brother, A. Frank and wonderful sister, Nancy. He was preceded in death by his brother, George and his parents, Angelo and Nancy. He also leaves behind many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition, he leaves behind a plethora of wonderful friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 A Memorial Service to Celebrate Bob's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th at Beaches Museum Chapel 505 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.

 In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Monique Burr Foundation For Children at 7807 Baymeadows Rd E STE 202, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
