Richard Wojnowicz

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Richard James Wojnowicz, who passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2025 at the age of 82. Richard was a cherished big brother to William Wojnowicz (deceased), Joanne Wojnowicz Quill, Thomas Wojnowicz, and John Wojnowicz Walters (deceased), Richard was the trailblazer for his younger siblings.

Richard was born on October 11, 1942 in Syracuse, New York. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy for eight years before enjoying careers as a technician for Simplex Corporation in Auburn, New York and Engineered Chemicals in St. Petersburg, Florida. Richard was an all-star catcher and running back during his school years. He loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Richard is survived by his three children, Richard Wojnowicz, Jr. of Union Springs, New York, Kathleen Palmer of Burdett, New York, and Sara Wojnowicz of Knoxville, Tennessee.

Happy Sailing Fido, Big Dick, and Tricky Dicky. We will all miss you.

A veteran committal service with military honors will be held at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
