Richard Markey

Richard James Markey, age 50, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, passed away June 14, 2020. He was born in Queens, New York and grew up in Oradell, New Jersey. Rich attended Bergen Catholic High School. After graduation he moved to Florida with the love of his life, Lisa. Together they started their family. He worked and maintained a career with Publix.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lisa; children, Nicholas Michael, Aidan James, and Ian Asher; granddaughter, Maisie Lynn Kaylie; father Edward Markey; mother-in-law, Patricia Melfi; siblings, Edward Markey (Dorothy), William Markey (Bonnie), Brian Markey (Kelly), Elizabeth Markey, James Markey (Christina), and Michael Melfi (Tracey); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his mother Marie Markey; father-in-law, Michael Melfi; and sister, Eileen Garofalo.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, June 19, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at 104 Red Maple Court, Ponte Vedra Beach.
