Richard J. Aquilino, a long-time resident of Monroe, NY passed away on May 30, 2022, in Jacksonville, FL at the age of 85.
Richard (who often went by Richie), was born and raised in the Bronx. He served in the U.S. Army before becoming a scrap metal business owner. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards with his friends and betting on the horses. He also enjoyed playing pool and big family dinners.
He was a loving and devoted grandfather to his six grandchildren. He often attended their sporting events and proudly cheered them on.
He is survived by his two daughters, Denise (Mark) Rattner and Lisa (Richard) McDonald; grandchildren, Curtis, Austin, Theo, Colin, Logan and Nadine; and siblings, Robert, Dennis and Roger.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Marie; and siblings, Leo Jr., Lorraine and Michael.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 24th at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River, NJ.
