Philip Gregory “Greg” McMillan, 60, passed away July 15, 2021 in Jacksonville, FL. He was born April 16, 1961. He lived his life in the beaches area.
Greg graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School, where he was involved in The Fletcher Marching Band, as trumpet player, Assistant Drum Major 1977 - 1978 class year and Head Drum Major in 1978 - 1979. He attended Florida Community College at Jacksonville (FCCJ) and was a member of the FCCJ Jazz Band, on trumpet. Greg was also a proud member of the “Not Tonight I’ve Got the Blues Band” for 15 years. He was self-employed for many years and owned and operated St. John’s Restaurant Equipment and Supply, which supported restaurants at the beaches and in Jacksonville. In his spare time, he enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid football fan, supporting both Gators and Jaguars.
Greg is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Kelle (McRee); son Robert John; grandchildren, Nicky Love and Justin Michael; sisters Linda McMillan, Shirley McCoy (Mike), Carolynne McMillan and Annette McMillan; brothers-in-law James McRee (Amy) and Chad McRee; nieces and nephews Jason Parker, Nicole Bridier (Clint), Colton McCoy (Megan), Jayme McRee, Emilee McRee, Colton McRee, Mark Pack, and Brian Pack. He was predeceased by his parents, John Morgan McMillan Jr, and Doris (Woods) McMillan.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, August 6th at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home. A reception will immediately follow at American Legion Post 129, 1151 4th Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
