Patricia Steeb Peterson

Patricia S. (Pat) Peterson, 97, passed away February 12, 2025 in Jacksonville, FL. She was born June 8, 1927 in Pittsburgh, PA where she grew up, married and raised her family. She has been a resident in Atlantic Beach, FL (Fleet Landing) since 1994.

Pat had extreme pride in her family. After marrying Garfield in 1950, they brought three boys into the world over the next 8 years. She threw her entire being into supporting her family and raising her boys while always pursuing opportunities to use her beautiful singing voice and theatrical talents in various church and theatre organizations. Pat continued to be a force of nature after moving to Fleet Landing, remaining active in music, theatre endeavors, volunteer organizations and her church well into her 90’s.

Underpinning it all, Pat was a woman of deep faith. She strove to embody the character of love and the teachings of Jesus Christ in everything that she did.

Pat is survived by her sons, David (Pat) and Mark (Charlo); eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by Garfield, her husband of 50 years, and her son Bradley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Fleet Landing (Johnson Hall) at 10:00 AM on Friday May 2nd 2025.
