Patricia Graves

Patricia King Graves, lovingly known as Patti, passed away on February 15, 2025, in her hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, just three days after her 77th birthday. Born on February 12, 1948, Patti dedicated her life to serving others, beginning her career at Baptist Hospital where she ultimately retired as an office manager for Women’s Physicians. Her remarkable career reflected her deep commitment to the health and well-being of those around her.

Patti was a proud graduate of Englewood High School and cherished her Florida roots. An honest and caring woman, she was truly the life of every gathering, bringing joy and laughter to family and friends alike. She spent countless hours supporting her three sons, Scott, Eric, and Jason, cheering them on at their ball games and band concerts. Her love for her family was evident, as she deeply invested in the lives of her sons and their families, always making time for each special occasion.

An adventurous spirit, Patti found joy in activities like bicycling, running, and shag dancing. Her sons relished the moments spent dancing with her, creating beautiful memories that would last a lifetime. One of her proudest accomplishments was completing the Jacksonville "River Run" at the age of 75, winning first prize for her age group — a testament to her vibrant spirit and enduring resilience.

Patti's faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was overjoyed to be the very first person baptized at Hogan Baptist Church in their new building, showcasing her commitment to her beliefs and her loving nature. Throughout her life, she always displayed love in her heart and sought to uplift others around her, embodying a compassion that extended far beyond her immediate family.

Patti faced her battle with pancreatic cancer with unyielding strength and courage. Despite being given only six months to live, she fought bravely for over a year, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her with her unwavering optimism and love for life.

She will be missed dearly by her adoring sons; Scott King, Jason King, Eric King and their families, as well as her two beloved sisters-in-law, Pennie and Teri. Patti was predeceased by her parents, Reba and Elwood, along with her two brothers, Mike and Bruce.

As we remember Patti, let us celebrate the vibrant, fun-loving soul who enriched our lives with her kindness, laughter, and love. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
