Olivia Rusinek Zilahy

Olivia Rusinek Zilahy, 82, passed away November 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 10,1942 in Ocala, Florida.

 Olivia spent her childhood in Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in English. She moved to New York City to work as a copy editor, where she met her husband, Norman. They later returned to Florida to raise their family. Olivia got her Masters Degree from UNF, and was a dedicated English teacher at Ribault High School. Olivia was also an avid Bridge player, a lover of literature, and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

 Olivia is survived by her children; son, John (Patti); daughters, Jennifer (Glenn) and Melissa (Christopher); grandchildren, Ava, Kaia, Camden, Carter, Fiona and Devin. She was predeceased by her husband Norman and brother Jackie.

 A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 12:00, Saturday, January 11th in St. Paul’s Catholic Church with Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to UNICEF.
