Olivia Tommaney

February 22, 1929 — July 26, 2016

Olivia Dimopulos Tommaney passed peacefully at her daughter's home in Atlantic Beach, FL on Monday, July 26, 2016. She was born in Haverhill, MA on February 22, 1929, where she grew up. As an adult she had the opportunity to live in Naples, Italy and Paget, Bermuda. In 1992 she retired to the beaches area.

Olivia attended Endicott College and graduated from Brown University, Class of 1951. She taught English at the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School, Haverhill, for over twenty years. Olivia served as a Girl Scout leader and was an active member of the Women's City Club of Haverhill. She enjoyed her family, reading, traveling, and playing bridge.

Olivia leaves behind her beloved daughter, Kathleen and son-in-law Philip Kane; grandsons, Alexander Kane (Hurley Winkler) Jacksonville Beach, and Austen Kane, Neptune Beach. Olivia was the sister of the late Foula Peterson, Haverhill.

There will be a private family memorial ceremony. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
