Norma Ricca

Norma Ricca, (nee Castana), 91, passed away, Sunday, August 6, 2017. Beloved wife of 65 years to James (Jim) Ricca; loving mother of Susan (Tom) Arnold and Jamie (Ray) Russo; cherished grandmother of Justine Ferriter (Chris) and Jason Russo; sister of Joseph Castana and the late Marie Burnett, Josephine Viaggio & Violet Falcone. Dear aunt, cousin and friend to many.

Norma was born in Brooklyn, NY and always maintained her New York style and elegance. She graduated from Woods Secretarial College and married Jim, the love of her life.  Norma was a homemaker and made a wonderful home for her family in New York and then in Massachusetts.  She retired to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL where she was very active in her community.  She was involved in and a Charter Member of the Oak Bridge Women’s Club and served in many capacities. Norma was happiest spending time with her “Jim and the girls”, extended family, and loved cooking and entertaining for relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
