Nora Egan

Nora M. Egan, Nonie to her family, passed away February 25, 2018. She was born December 6, 1921 in New York City where she grew up. A long time resident of New Milford, NJ and Brick, NJ, after years of being snowbirds she and her husband moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1999.

She was married for 62 years to John J. Egan also of New York City who predeceased her in 2005.  Together they enjoyed years of travel, bridge and visiting friends and family. They were gracious and intensely loyal friends to many including those from childhood. Her daughter Noreen (Richard) predeceased her in 2004. She is survived by three children, sons Dennis (Paula) and John (Lynn); daughter Irene (Roger). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 545 A1A N, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL with Reverend William Kelly as Celebrant. The family will receive guests at the church starting at 10:30 AM. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Catholic Charities of Jacksonville at CCBJax.org.
