Nellie Chuyko

Chuyko, Nellie Mae Nellie Mae Chuyko (nee Posey) 92, was called to her heavenly home August 26, 2015 in Jacksonville, FL. Nellie was born in Sayre, Alabama, on March 20, 1923 to the late Cora (Self) and Robert Posey. She moved to San Francisco where she met her beloved Navy husband, the late Harry Chuyko. They lived most of their 62 years together in Bethlehem, PA. Nellie loved her Lord and her family, as well as flowers, music, poetry and delighted in children. Her life was in service to God and others and was active in her church, Brownie and Girl Scouts, hospital auxiliaries and community thrift stores. She was an extraordinary, creative, woman devoted to her faith, family and friends--an example of our Father's love. Survivors: Nellie is survived by her brother, Richard Harrison Posey (Bonnie); children, Harry "Jay" Chuyko Jr (Esther) of Allentown, PA, and Diane Brones (Dana) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren Rick, Justin, Jason, Joel, Jonathan, Paul and Lena; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
