Naomi Logan

July 6, 1928 — April 29, 2017

Naomi Beathea (Betty) Wuestner Quade Logan, 88, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She was born July 6, 1928 in Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Edwin L. Quade and Paul L. Logan, Sr. Betty cherished spending time with her family and church family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and spent many hours studying His Word.

Betty worked for many years as a secretary for public utility companies. She retired in 1990, and she and Paul moved to Murphy, North Carolina to enjoy their retirement together. After 15 years in NC, Betty and Paul moved back to Florida to be close to their family. Betty most recently resided in Jacksonville Beach. Betty was known for her contagious smile and her optimistic outlook on life. She always enjoyed life immensely and lived it to the fullest. She loved family gatherings with her grandchildren (and their spouses): Shane Nowlen (PJ), Nicole Gilbert (Joe), Sam Masten, Kacie Lynn, and her great-granddaughter, Caelan Gilbert. Some of Betty’s most cherished memories were of the time she spent with all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren (too numerous to list). Betty’s extended family and friends loved her joyful spirit and the delight she took in celebrating life, every day.

She is survived by her three daughters—Cheryl Davis (Jeff), Nancy Masten (Keith), and Gail Chambers (Glenn)—as well as her stepchildren Teresa Durden, Linda O’Connor (Tim), and Paul Logan, Jr. (Joanne) and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Quin-Shalz Funeral Home, 3600 3rd Street South, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250.
