Nancy Marie Larson

Nancy Marie (Jernigan) Larson, 67, of Jacksonville Florida (previously Suffolk Virginia) passed away on September 13^th, 2022, at Community Hospice with her daughter by her side after a long fight with breast cancer.

Nancy was retired from Mayo Clinic where she worked for 24 years in transcription. She is pre-deceased by her father, Lewis Jernigan of Suffolk, and her sister, Linda Ramsey of Jacksonville.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Mary Frances Jernigan of Suffolk Virginia; her loving daughter, Laura Matheson and husband Matthew, granddaughter Aubree Matheson, and grandson Owen Matheson: brother, Michael Jernigan and wife Kathy; niece, Nancy Kustreba and wife Patti; great niece, Kristin Carr, and great-great nephew, Wyatt Robinson.

Nancy’s pride and joy came from loving on her grandchildren Aubree and Owen as much as possible, and spending time with her friends and family. To know her was to love her, she brought so much light and laughter upon many people and will be forever cherished and missed.

To honor Nancy’s wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, “In Memory of.” donations may be made to Community Hospice & Palliative Care, at support.communityhospice.com. This is where she spent her final days and received so much love and care from everyone involved with the organization.
