Miriam Theresa Knox

Theresa Knox, 92, passed away November 26, 2023. Theresa was born October 7, 1931 in Brunswick, GA and grew up in Jacksonville, FL. She retired after 44 years of service for the City of Jacksonville, Clerk of the Court where she was appointed by Henry Cook, Clerk of the Court, as Manager of Human Resources.

Theresa is survived by her loving husband James Deen of 30 years. She was predeceased by her mother, Miriam Cromley and her father, James Cromley.  

Theresa will be remembered as a kindhearted, compassionate and caring person who was known for helping anyone she met in need.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Quinn Shalz Funeral Home, Jacksonville Beach. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Jacksonville Humane Society.
