Mildred Nasrallah Hanna, 95, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018 at her home in Jacksonville Beach, FL.
Mildred was born December 14, 1922 in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from St. Paul’s High School in Riverside in 1941. Mildred went on to work for the H&W B Drew Co. until she was married in 1951 and moved to the beaches. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach where she was a member of the Catholic Women’s Guild. Mildred served as President of the Jacksonville Beach Woman’s Club and the Syrian Women’s Club of Jacksonville. She enjoyed playing Bridge and hosting parties at her home.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, John M. Hanna, Sr. and her sisters Blanche Dennis and Virginia McConnell. She is survived by her brother Raymond Nasrallah (Annie); her children, Mary Eugenia Hanna and John M. Hanna, Jr. (Lael) of Jacksonville, FL; two grandchildren, John M. Hanna, III (Amy) and Jason R. Hanna (Amanda) also of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
A Rosary will be held during a gathering between 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in the Chapel of Quinn-Shalz. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 22nd in St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Jacksonville Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to the Legacy of Faith Building Fund for St. Paul’s Catholic Church Beaches (stpaulsjaxbeach.org) in the name of Mildred Hanna.
