Jerry Crouch, 94, of Jacksonville Beach, FL passed away on May 12, 2024. She was born to Mildred and Joe Foley on August 6, 1929 in Worcester, MA and was the third of six children in her family. When her father became an attorney with the US Justice Department, the family moved to Arlington, VA. Jerry graduated with a BA degree from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA in 1951. A year later she married Ted Crouch and they were married for over 50 years. They started a family in Arlington, VA and subsequently lived in McLean, VA. She was a mother of five children, Stephanie, Chris, Ed, Allison and Cindy, grandmother of nine and great-grandmother of five, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker for many years and after all the children were in school she went to work for a US Government agency for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted, as well as two sisters and two brothers.
In 1990, Jerry and Ted retired to Atlantic Beach, FL and she quickly became a member of the Beaches Newcomers Club. She was an avid bridge player and participated in many of the club activities. She was also an active member of the Long Time Newcomers Club for many years.
A Catholic Funeral Mass was held on May 20, 2024 at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Ponte Vedra Beach. She will be laid to rest, next to her husband, in a private ceremony at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
