Michael Melfi

Michael Rocco Melfi of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away on January 16, 2019.  Mike was born on December 21, 1941 to the late A. Michael & Rose (nee Bonelli) Melfi.  He grew up in Garfield, NJ, later moving to Hackensack, and Maywood, NJ before settling in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Mike served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966 advancing to the rank of Staff Sergeant.  He worked at ITT and Rayonier, Inc. as an accountant and financial analyst retiring in 2007 after 40 years.

Mike was married to the love of his life Patricia A. (nee DePalmer); he was the father of Michael (Tracey) of Hackensack, NJ and Lisa (Richard) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandfather of Ryan and Michael Melfi, and Nicholas, Aidan and Ian Markey; brother of Marie Angello, the late Thomas Melfi and brother-in-law of Paula (John) Little.  Mike was also an uncle of one niece and five nephews and great uncle to twelve nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 16th, at 10:30 AM at St. Francis R.C. Church, 50 Lodi Street, Hackensack.
