HUNT Melinda Caroline Suelter Hunt, 1920-2013. Melinda Hunt, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Jacksonville, FL on April 14, 2013. Born in Lincoln, Kansas on June 12, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Emma Suelter. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1938 and from the Augustana School of Pediatric Nursing, Chicago, IL in 1944. In 1947 she married James Hulet Hunt, who died in 2001. Mrs. Hunt is survived by a son, James Hunt, Jr. and his wife Kathryn Hunt, of Orange Park, FL and a daughter, Rhonda Nedell and her husband, Lewis Nedell, of Rocky Hill, CT. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hunt spent many years living in various countries around the world, accompanying her husband, who was employed by the Lockheed Corporation as a technical representative on their C-130 aircraft. While overseas they lived in Argentina, Morocco, Sudan and New Zealand. In the U.S. their residences included Georgia, Kansas, Rhode Island, Texas, Alaska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and North Carolina. Mrs. Hunt was beloved by the many friends she made in each place that she lived. For the past 9 years, she was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Ponte Vedra Beach. A memorial service will be scheduled at the church at a later date. Interment will take place at St. John s Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, NC.
