Maureen Muldoon, 78, passed away July 27, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on January 4, 1941, and often referred to herself as “a girl from Brooklyn”.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Don, and daughters, Gerianne Gilligan, Mary-Kate (David) Pike and Nancy (Robert) Hostler, grandchildren: Ben, Aidan, Audrey, Herron, Maggie, Maureen, Abby and Teddy. She was predeceased by son, John.
The girl from Brooklyn moved to Harrisburg, PA, Bridgewater, NJ, Simsbury, CT, Mahwah, NJ and Ponte Vedra Beach full time in 1998. She was a member of Sawgrass Country Club, where she was an active tennis player and a member of the Sawgrass Singers. The SenioRITA tennis tournament was a passion of hers and she served as a volunteer for many years. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and visiting them in San Clemente, CA, Arlington, VA and Westfield, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 Monday, August 12th in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Jacksonville Beach.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Community Hospice and Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville FL 32257.
