Martha White

Martha (Marty) White, 87, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away peacefully on Oct. 6, 2016. Marty is survived by her loving husband of 67 yrs., Gene. They were married in West Berlin, NJ on Feb. 7, 1950.

Marty is lovingly remembered by her children: Claudia Waldo of Jax Beach, FL, Amy Arroyo of York, PA and E.J. White (Cora) of Cumming, GA; grandchildren: Jedediah Waldo (Megan), Christina White and Kayla White; and great-grandchildren: Bishop Waldo and Bodhi Waldo Ruffino.

Marty was born in Schwenksville, PA on March 31, 1929. She graduated from Perkiomenville High and started nursing school at Bryn Mawr Hospital in PA. She enjoyed a career in the travel industry and she and Gene had the opportunity to travel all over the world. She was a member of the Eastern Star, The Questers and Past President of the Sawgrass Women’s Club. Marty enjoyed golf and the beach and was a member of Oak Bridge Country Club and the Cabana Club. Marty was an accomplished artist whose favorite medium was oils. She had many art shows while residing at Cypress Village.

Marty’s life was fulfilled every day with a gift for others and her sense of grace, her gentle words and kind deeds will be missed by all the lives she touched. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Cypress Village Wellness Center and Community Hospice for the service and support in her final days.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
