Mark Edward Archer

   Mark Edward Archer, 65, passed away March 16, 2024. Mark was born January 23, 1959, in Akron, Ohio. He was an All-American swimmer at Bolles High School in Jacksonville, Florida. After high school he attended Florida State University where he was a four-year letterman on the FSU Swim Team. Mark graduated in 1980 with a degree in Communications. 

   Mark had a career as a flight attendant for Eastern and United Airlines. He loved his job and his coworkers, many of which he has kept in touch with after retiring in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. 

   Mark is preceded in death by his father Edward Archer. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Archer, his sisters Debbie Archer, and Moira Catches (John), his nieces and nephews Megan Dunton, Kelly Kelley, Erik Sander, and Ryan Sander, and many close friends. 

   A private memorial service will be held for immediate family in Akron, Ohio where he will be buried in a family plot where his father rests. 

   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blue Wave Democrats of St. Johns County, Florida, or your favorite charity in his name.
